Barter - New currency of the 21st century
January 18, 2009
I’ve been doing a lot of research lately on barter and I’ve learned some fascinating things.
Barter is huge and getting bigger in this slow economic environment. It seems that everyone from Fortune 500 companies to individuals are using barter to conserve cash, increase customer base, create new markets, move excess inventory and obtain luxury items.
The possibilities of barter are virtually endless, limited only by imagination. I’m going to be using barter in my business. I’ve decided to go after a new market — restaurants and retail — using 100 percent barter. I plan to trade window cleaning service for gift certificates. I will then use the gift certificates as bonuses for my residential customers and use them in trade for other things I want or need.
My goal is to double my income while creating continuity and increased customer loyalty.
I will keep you posted on my progress.

Got something to say?
Another client of mine, Ray Lane of Two Hands for Hire, is involved with http://www.barderz.com.
Thanks, Karen! I’m not sure if the site is still running.
Sorry for this delayed response — I just saw your comment.
